SAMBOREE
June 6-10, 2012
Eastern Idaho Fairgrounds, Blackfoot, ID
The Samboree was held at the Eastern Idaho Fairgrounds in Blackfoot.
Idaho Good Sammers like to play games, particularly Swing Golf and Bean-bag Baseball.
Jean and Harold oversee the games.
The Dutch Oven Cookoff was popular again this year.
The ladies dressed for their tea. Waiting for the entertainment.
We were welcomed by the mayor, the police department and the chamber of commerce.
Bob Schield entertained us with some of his cowboy poetry.
This year's cake walk was more like a cake sit.
We were also entertained by some of our own. Those in attendance felt the pinch of aging.
The tractor rodeo took place on a windy day. "No, don't run OVER the pylon!"
Lots of folks showed up for the catered dinner.
The Portneuf Gap Blue Grass Band also entertained us.
Game winners lined up to receive their prizes.
Gordon handed out longevity awards to some of the chapters.
Susan and Gordon thanked Jennie for arranging a very successful Samboree.
