SAMBOREE
June 14-17, 2017
Kootenai County Fairgrounds, Coeur d'Alene, ID

The Rally took place at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d'Alene. The theme of the event was "WHERE FRIENDS MEET". Apart from the Samboree, we found many things to see and do in Coeur d'Alene. There was plenty of RV parking at the fairgrounds with electricity and water for a few.

We were welcomed by a Coeur d'Alene city councilman.

There were several seminars including Fraud Prevention, Fantasy Tours, Quick N Bright, Operation Lifesaver, POAs and Living Wills and DVR Dash Cameras.

The Samboree is all about having fun. The tractor rodeo is always a big hit because it is a competition with no end of laughs.

Some of the attractions in the Coeur d'Alene area are the Lake Excursion boat ride, the gondola ride in Kellogg and the mine tour, shown here.

The Cataldo Mission is the oldest building in Idaho.

Back at the ranch, the Sourdough Sams sponsored a breakfast to raise funds for their favorite charities. The breakfast was a big hit. Over 80 people attended.

Many people were seen exchanging their favorite books.

Many of the attendees got a taste of dutch oven cooking.

Finally, the veterans retired a number of flags in a very solemn flag burning ceremony.
