IDAHO SAMBOREE
June 11-15, 2019
Nez Perce Fairgrounds, Lewiston, ID

The Samboree took place at the Nez Perce County fairgrounds in Lewiston. The theme of the event was "TAKE THE LEWIS & CLARK TRAIL TO IDAHO'S INLAND SEAPORT". Lewiston was a great location for the Samboree. All attendees had electrical hookups and a few had water hookups too.

A new event this year was the pet parade. Contestants were also asked to estimate how far their pets had traveled. You would be surprised at how many miles some of our pets have traveled.

The tractor rodeo is now a tradition at the Idaho Samboree. Pete Petersen is being prepared for the contest.

Bill Adaska is checking out his swing golf score. Thanks to Bill for providing many of these pictures.

There were more people than ever participating in the Dutch Oven Cookoff.

Harold Hilliard and Judy Heinbach won first place in pinochle.

Darlene Billing chaired a quilting seminar that lasted through the entire Samboree. This quilt was the result of the four-day quilting seminar.

During the closing ceremonies the Capitol Gypsies president, Larry Hobdey, was awarded a certificate for the chapter's 45th anniversary. Director Cathie Mickelsen gave the award.

The flag burning ceremony, conducted by the veterans, has become a tradition at the Samboree.

Many thanks to Ron and Roberta McFadden for organizing the Samboree and registering attendees.
